Murdoch University Dubai Gives Delhi a Taste of Dubai

Connecting with education partners and raising awareness about studying, living and working in the business hub of the Middle East in an enchanting Dubai-themed event in New Delhi

New Delhi, India – Murdoch University Dubai recently organised a dazzling launch event in New Delhi as part of its Indian Outreach program. Themed around the sights and sounds of enthralling Dubai, the evening was attended by educational consultants as well as dignitaries from Murdoch University Perth & Dubai.

Over 25 strategic business partners were in attendance along with the Deputy Vice Chancellor International, Murdoch University, Prof. Lyn Karstadt. The Murdoch University Dubai delegation included the Dean and Academic President, Dr. James Trotter, the General Manager, Justin Blake, Director of Marketing and Admissions, Sarah El Gohary and Student Ambassador, Aishwarya Subrahmanian.

The event highlighted the unique advantage of studying, living and working in a dynamic and cosmopolitan business hub like Dubai. The Dean, Dr. James Trotter, also shared further information about the campus facilities as well as Student Support Services.

Prof. Karstadt outlined the flexible programs offered by Murdoch Dubai, dependent on the academic and English qualifications of the applicants. Highlights of the newly-introduced English Language Programs were shared along with the Foundation, Diploma, Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs. The truncated duration of the Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs along with the Double Major option were well-received by the partners and a refreshing change to traditional university programs. She also shared information about five new courses to be offered from September 2019 and January 2020 – Undergraduate courses with Majors in Criminology, Accounting, Banking and Human Resource Management and a Master of Forensic Science.

On being asked about the unparalleled offerings by Murdoch University Dubai, General Manager, Justin Blake remarked, “At Murdoch University Dubai, our focus is on empowering students to be successful leaders of the future. The courses we offer prepare them not only for a strong career pathway but also enhance our students’ employability skills, enabling them to undertake a variety of responsibilities in different environments.”.

Student Ambassador Aishwarya Subrahmanian also shared her personal experience about pursuing a Double Major at Murdoch University Dubai. On her life as a student and having received the Vice Chancellor’s Award last year, she commented “The community at Murdoch Dubai is very diverse, and the interactions with our lecturers and peers has helped me to understand different insights and perspectives.”

The evening ended with a special Arabic musical performance by the Director of Marketing & Admissions, Sarah El Gohary that blended perfectly with the Middle Eastern décor and ambiance for the night.

Wrapping up the evening, Carmelo González, International Relations Consultant from The Chopras, commented, “I learnt so much more about the university’s unique programs and the vibrant international life in Dubai. I now think Murdoch every time I think Dubai!”

Sonya Singh from SIEC, further stated, “This Murdoch University Dubai launch in Delhi brought out the spirit of the destination and the vibrancy of Murdoch on a single platform, making it memorable and colourful!”

This launch event in New Delhi was part of a larger outreach and engagement program in India, with workshops also being organised in Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Ahmedabad.

Terms and Conditions of Registration

The institutional representative completing this registration form accepts that s/he has the authority to confirm participation in this event on behalf of the institution, and that the institution is thereby bound by the terms and conditions of this registration.
Payment for the Tour is due within two weeks of the date of registration. This will be clearly displayed on the invoice sent to the representative’s email address provided upon registration.
Participation on this Tour is assumed as one representative per institution. Should the institution be interested in bringing (an) additional representative(s), this should be communicated with their INTCAS point-of-contact, who will advise as to additional costs and logistical arrangements.
The exhibiting institution will be liable for any additional costs incurred by INTCAS, should the institution change the name/details of its attending representative(s).
INTCAS will promote the participation of exhibiting institutions prior to the Tour, using institutional-approved content as displayed within the INTCAS platform. Any specific requests related to the promotion of an exhibiting institution should be communicated to the representative’s INTCAS point-of-contact.
Attending representatives accept that INTCAS may capture photos and record videos of the Tour, and consent to these photos and videos being used by INTCAS for its own promotional purposes via publicly accessed platforms, applications and websites.
Exhibiting institutions accept that INTCAS is not liable for any damage, loss, harm or injury experienced by the institution and its representative(s), beyond INTCAS’ reasonable control.
Exhibiting institutions accept that INTCAS may – in the best interests of the Tour – make last-minute changes to the Tour’s schedule, logistical arrangements, visited schools, etc. Any such changes will be communicated to attending representatives at the earliest possibility.
Exhibiting institutions accept that INTCAS shall not be liable for any delays or failures in performance resulting from acts beyond its reasonable control, including consequences of circumstances of Force Majeure.

Cancellation Policy
By completing this registration form, the institution agrees to the following cancellation policy:
- If notice of cancellation is received more than two months prior to event commencement, a full refund will be provided, or if unpaid the invoice will be cancelled.
- If notice of cancellation is received between one and two months prior to event commencement, a 50% refund will be provided, or if unpaid 50% of the invoice amount will be due.
- If notice of cancellation is received less than one month prior to event commencement, a refund will not be provided, or if unpaid the full invoice amount will be due. INTCAS will offer representation by way of a dedicated INTCAS counsellor at the institution’s table throughout the tour at no additional cost.
The date of cancellation is deemed as the date on which the emailed notice of cancellation is received at [email protected]
