Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai at Silicon Oasis, Dubai, is hosting an UAE Innovation Summit: MeltingPot2020 on May 3.
The summit is organised by India’s CL Educate and Kestone IMS in collaboration with HigherEducation.AE.
According to a press release, MeltingPot2020 Innovation Summit is an endeavour to create a platform to facilitate dialogue between innovation leaders from the corporate world and key decision makers from the education sector.
The summit will be chaired by Ajay Shukla, co-founder and chief strategy officer at HigherEducation.AE.
“A spirit of partnership between the education sector and the industry is vital to creating a culture of innovations in UAE. MeltingPot2020 strives to do just that. Celebrating the ideas and success of young innovators and entrepreneurs in UAE is an important component of this summit. Through the Young Innovators Award 2018 we hope to inspire hundreds of innovators and inventors to bloom and succeed,” Shukla said.
UAE was ranked 1st MENA and 25th globally in the Global Innovation Index. This is no mean feat but to catapult UAE in the top of the league tables globally requires vision, stakeholder partnerships, nurturing of human capital and an ecosystem that encourages creativity.

The feature will feature presentations from thought leaders in the innovation landscape.
Mashal Waqar, CTO and co-founder of The Tempest, the fastest-growing media company for diverse millennial women, will be a part of the summit, highlighting her ‘Innovation to Entrepreneur Journey’.
Khalifa A Aljaziri, an eminent Emirati entrepreneur and founder and CEO of SMARTIOT, will share his vision of how technology led innovations can impact the quality of life.
University presidents, provosts and deans will share their insights on research and innovation opportunities in a powerful panel representing local and international universities.
