Skyline University College Centre for Continuing Learning (CCL) has successfully awarded the Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Trends in Information Technology to students from Jaipuria Institute Management Studies, India, after a seven-day Boot Camp at Skyline University College (SUC). The Boot Camp ran from September 14 until September 20, 2018. SUC Dean Dr. Mohammad In’airat, Head of Academics, Dr. Ajith Kumar, and Head of Quality Assurance, Dr. Sudhakar Kota led the certificate giving ceremony on September 19. The students also met the Founder President of SUC, Mr. Kamal Puri.
The Boot Camp consisted of workshops, lectures, and presentations. Dr. Mohit Vij conducted a session on the history of the UAE. The students learned about identifying opportunities and the different concepts of entrepreneurship and functionalities of a business plan from Dr. Kakul Agha. Dr. Riktesh Srivastava discussed the emerging trends in IT and the various social media platforms that can be utilized for business. Dr. Taleb Bilal Eli and Ms. Nadine Felix gave insights on culture and gender in business. Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh also conducted a session on culture.
The students had an industry visit to the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Centre (DTEC), the largest technology entrepreneur centre in MENA.
To make their stay in the UAE enjoyable, Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Pawan Bhatia, took the students on tours to some of the best places in the country — the Dubai Mall, Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, MOTIONGATE™ Dubai, Kite Beach, and Atlantis: The Palm.
